Fly on the Wall
Recently, P Buggy and I was sailing on the Hudson when a young African American lady and her guests boarded the boat to celebrate her thirtieth birthday. No big deal until the party started. Once the party started, the deejay, an African American began playing hip hop and r & b with explicit lyrics. The ‘N’ word and the mf’s were used as if they were reciting nursery rhymes.
P. Buggy, a self proclaimed, middle-aged white man never saw anything like this and was shocked!!!
After seeing this, we began talking and realized that there are some things that are said when other people aren’t around. We laughed that some of these same people from the party will be in church on Sunday and that they would never say these things there or at work. Apparently, there are things people say when others aren’t around, whether it’s Blacks about Whites or vice versa. Many say things to their friends that they would never say in public. If we could only be a fly on the wall and see what they really think.
