Everybody’s Dancing!!! The New Trend In Music
It’s here!!! Dance music is coming on strong. For years, people listened to it, danced to it at parties and clubs; but for some reason it didn’t chart well (at least not since the disco era). Over the past few years, hip hop was the dominant force (pop charts); rock and rock and roll had taken a back seat. But now it’s all about dance music. Dance has cut a rug to the forefront. According to DJ Choc (executive producer of GS Radio), ‘Dance is this generation’s music’. He’s right, every generation has their music.
Look at what’s happening. New artists are emerging; artists are making dance versions of their music and major artists are crossing lines. Ludacris, Lil Wayne and Fifty cent are rapping on dance tracks. Usher, Rihanna and Ne-Yo are singing dance music and Pitbull is rapping on almost every major release. I predict dance will be the new trend for the next several years. Of course there will be other music; but watch the dance trend.
Ladies and gentleman, shall we dance?
